How much loft flooring will I need?

Are you planning on transforming your unused loft space into a practical and efficient storage area? If so one of the most crucial steps is deciding on how much loft boarding you will need to create your new space.

How much do you intend to store?

The amount of items you have to store in your loft has an obvious effect on the amount of loft boarding you will need, but do take into account items how many more items that may end up in there compared to what you're currently planning on storing.

You may not have enough items to fill the entire space, and in most lofts, there are likely to be areas that are not suitable for storage. All you need to do is figure out how much you need to have boarded and leave the rest empty.

Don’t buy more than you need!

It is a waste of time and money boarding an area of your loft that will never get used, even if you’re looking to gain as much floor space as possible.
