Why choose Raised Loft Boarding?

While installing loft insulation sounds nice and easy, unfortunately, it’s not that simple. To keep your insulation at its government recommended depth of 200mm, you will need to utilise a raised loft board system, or opt for no boarding at all. This is because standard loft boarding that sits directly on the joists of your loft floor will flatten and compress the insulation underneath ultimately preventing it from working effectively. It is estimated that the compression of insulation reduces 50% of its efficiency, therefore raising your energy bills.
